In 2020 I was contacted by Warren Ellis to create a duplicate of his greatest treasure, a piece of Nina Simone’s chewing gum that he had been caring for for the past 20 years. While making the duplicate and developing the protypes I took hundreds of photographs of the work to keep Warren updated and reassure him that his talisman was safe. When the work was completed Warren decided to make a book about the gum and its significance to him including a section on my work. Below is a collection of images from that time.
